The Gospel of Jesus Christ

Good news is always welcome, unless you  think that the news you're hearing is not good. Read the following and see if this sounds like good news to you:

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

If you think you are a sinner in need of a savior, then this is indeed good news. If you think otherwise, and believe that you are basically a good person, worthy of a place in heaven, consider this:

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23

In this, GOD declares that every single person has sinned against him and therefore stands guilty before him. This is very bad news, especially if you think your good deeds can outweigh the bad and still get you to heaven. Your eternal destiny is not based on what you imagine to be true, but on what God says is true. The good news is that God has made a way for you which does not depend on anything you do, whether good or bad, but on what you believe.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him. John 3:16,17

Truly believing in Jesus Christ, according to God's word, is all that God requires of you to be saved from condemnation and receive eternal life.

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me. John 14:6

You must believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved. There are not many roads to God, as some assert, but only one way.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

God loves you and wants to give you this free gift of eternal life, but you must admit to him that you have sinned against him. To determine if you have sinned against God, answer this question, "have you ever done anything that you believe is wrong?" If so, you have something to ask God to forgive you for. Confess to him that you are a sinner and ask him to forgive you. Remember this:

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

If you admit your sin and ask God to forgive you, you will receive the free gift of God, eternal life, and be guaranteed a place in heaven when you die. But if you reject God's offer of eternal life, then you will go to hell when you die.

Which will you choose?:
